“Churro’ll That I Want”

Our resident Chef Bae (Hiroki Uchida) thought this little love offering up!  It’s heart-shaped cinnamon and sugar dusted churro waffle pieces that will make you fall madly in love with each nibble.  These corazon bites are accompanied by two yummy sauces for dunking.  One is a velvety chocolate strawberry dip and the other is creamy milky love potion with a kiss of maple.  Then, we top it all off with a sprinkle of your favorite Valentine candy!

We’re seeing hearts over here at the Anaheim Iron Press and once you see this line-up and the event details for our “My Boozy Valentine” tap takeover and extravaganza, we’re pretty sure that you’ll be seeing them too!  It’s all going down at The Iron Press Anaheim in the Packing House on February 10th, 2017 A.D. from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M.  We’re going it big (All barrel-aged everything!), so you may want to have a designated driver, grab a Lyft or beg your Mom to drop you off! Hot Totty- Good Beer Co.

Farmhouse Ale, 5% ABV

Aged in American oak bourbon barrels (previously used to age Bottle Logic’s coveted “Dark Star”) with lemon zest and ginger. This dry and complex ale is inspired by a popular cold remedy that includes hot ginger tea, bourbon, and a squeeze and lemon - sometimes referred to as a Hot Toddy.


Cellar 3:  Nouveau Tart- Green Flash

Wild Ale, 6.9% ABV

A sour red ale aged in bourbon barrels.  Heady top notes of tart cherry and dark fruit mingle with rich, subtle malt in the background for a perfect blend.


Byzantine Vision- Bottle Logic

Porter, 10.7% ABV

This release is rooted in the bourbon barrel aged version of our World Beer Cup 2016 Silver Medal winning ‘Cobaltic Porter.’ Racked over hazelnuts, pistachios, and walnuts, then finished with wild honey,  for a delicious baklava-inspired beer.


Darkstar November- Bottle Logic

Imperial Stout, 13.7% ABV

Snippets of sweet molasses, spicy rye, velvety vanilla and bourbon-soaked chocolate oak make up this complex beast of a stout!


 Collaboration 6- Boulevard

 Strong Ale, 12.5% ABV

This special beer is a blend of:  Boulevard Bourbon Barrel Quad - 45%, Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee - 35%, Boulevard Imperial Stout X - Tart Cherry (whiskey barrel-aged) - 10% and Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin - 10%.  It’s complex, roasty and fruity.


7th Anniversary- Black Market

Imperial Stout, 12.3% ABV

This bourbon barrel blend is a rich and decadent melange of 2 of Black Market’s finest barrel aged beers. You’ll taste Madagascar vanilla beans with complex layers of dark roasty perfection.


Deliverance- Lost Abbey

Strong Ale, 12.5% ABV

A blend of bourbon barrel-aged Serpent’s Stout and brandy barrel-aged Angels Share.  This beer is not for the faint with it’s figgy notes, sweet edge and cocoa aroma.


B.B.A Devil’s Teeth w/orange zest, cacao & hazelnut variant- Modern Times

Old Ale, 11% ABV

This variant was aged in bourbon barrels and spiced with orange zest, hazelnut, and chocolate, yielding a deftly-woven tapestry of flavors and aromas that light up your olfactory pleasure centers before wrapping your palate in its bewitchingly delicious embrace


Abyss- Deschutes

Russian Imperial Stout 11.1% ABV

This beer has almost immeasurable depth and complexity. Hints of molasses, licorice and other alluring flavors make it something not just to quaff, but contemplate.


2015 Bourbon County- Goose Island

Imperial Stout, 13.8% ABV

The aroma is a mix of charred oak, vanilla and caramel. This dark, malty and rich beer tastes of chocolate, espresso coffee, vanilla, molasses & a hint of cinnamon.


Lizard of Koz- Founders

Imperial Stout, 10.5% ABV

The base beer is an imperial stout, brewed with blueberries, chocolate and vanilla. The finishing touch is the bourbon barrel aging.  Dark, fruity and a hint of sweetness.


Pugachev’s Cobra- Hangar 24

Russian Imperial Stout, 13.5% ABV

Bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your palate.


Boon Kriek Cherry- Brouwerij Boon

Lambic, 5% ABV

Pounds upon pounds of fresh cherries and multiple fermentations, give this lambic it’s signature dry, fruity, tart and delicious flavor.


Agrestic- Firestone Walker

Wild Ale, 6.6% ABV

Oak barrel-aged for 28 months.  With toasted oak, lemon pith, and rosewood on the nose and palate, followed by an amazing harmony of vanilla, coconut, Earl Grey tea, dark cherries and spice. The finish is crisp, with a mouthwatering acidity and chewy tannins.

Our Costa Mesa location invites you to join us for our Flight of Darkness special tap takeover from 5-10 pm! We'll have over a dozen speciality dark brews, a live DJ, and of course your favorite waffle sandwiches!  If dark and delicious beers are your thing, you'll want to be here!

BA Standard Crude-  El Segundo Brewing-  11.3%-  2016 Barrel Aged Standard Crude spent between 6 and 9 months in various bourbon barrels and was blended and bottled a few weeks ago. It has deep and complex malt tones that are well accentuated by a whisp of barrel character and looming bourbon tones throughout. Vanilla, cola, dark fruits, chocolate and hints of licorice take you on a flavor journey that only intensifies as the beer warms.

Maple BA Wreck Alley- Karl Strauss- 12.1%-

Angels’ Share- Lost Abbey- 12.5%- Down in Kentucky and across the pond in Scotland, distillers who age their whiskeys for many years refer to the evaporation of the spirits from their barrels as “The Angel’s Share.” We couldn’t agree more. Our Angel’s Share is a barrel aged burgundy colored ale infused with copious amounts of dark caramel malt to emphasize the vanilla and oak flavors found in freshly emptied brandy barrels. Each batch spends no less than 6 months aging in the oak.

7 Swans a Swimming- The Bruery- 11%- 7 Swans-A-Swimming is the 7th beer in our "12 Days of Christmas" series. For this verse of the story, we chose the path we don’t often take – we brewed to style. No bells, no whistles, just our best take on the Belgian Quadrupel style. Brewed with nothing but water, malt, yeast, hops and a bit of Belgian dark candi sugar, this beer may not be as out-of-the-box as some of our past winter brews, but it’s just as tasty. Rich and complex, this robust dark ale juggles notes of raisin bread, dried apricots, burnt caramel and roasted pecans. The sweet flavors provide a full body and the bright yeast wafts the sweet holiday notes out of the glass, into your life. 7 Swans-A-Swimming is a perfect holiday sipper.

Agave Maria- Lost Abbey- 13.5%- Using a blend of Anejo and Reposado barrels and aged for a minimum of ten months, Agave Maria has hints of black pepper, sweet sugar, oatmeal, and oak with an earthy, bitter smoked chocolate on the finish. The base beer, a new Agave strong ale, was created specifically to pair with the spiciness of the Tequila, adding a sweet honey-like quality to the beer.

Pugachev’s Cobra ‘15- Hangar 24- 13.5%- Get ready for an assault on your senses with PUGACHEV’S COBRA, an intense Russian Imperial Stout. This rich, black beauty with a thick caramel head is bursting with aromas of chocolate, vanilla, oak, bourbon, licorice and dark fruits, while flavors of chocolate-covered plum, sweet malt, bourbon, and roasted coffee explode on your pallet. Three different dark roasted malts and rich maple syrup are combined in a truly unique brewing process to create complexity and depth. Once fermented, it’s then aged for eight months in freshly emptied bourbon barrels. This powerful concoction is designed to be enjoyed now with friends or cellared to perfection and savored in the years to come.

Pugachev’s Cobra ‘16- Hangar 24- 14.3%- see above

Lucky Bastard- Stone- 8.5%- Lukcy Basartd is a dry-hopped meeting-of-the-Bastards in a in-the-fermenter-blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale and Double Bastard Ale...with a perfect balance of the essence of OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale. All in all, one awesome Bastard.

Anniversary XX- Firestone/Walker- 13.8% This year, 17 winemakers convened in late August to help create the blend for XX. As always, they were tasked with creating their own preferred blends, with all of these initial blends later being blind tasted on the group. After votes were cast, the blend by Scott Hawley of Torrin

Vineyard was deemed the winner and became the basis for XX. The Final Blend:

Parabola / Aged in New Oak and Bourbon Barrels / 40% of Final Blend

Stickee Monkee / Aged in Bourbon and Brandy Barrels / 20% of Final Blend

Velvet Merkin / Aged in Bourbon Barrels / 17.5% of Final Blend

Bravo / Aged in Bourbon Barrels / 12.5% of Final Blend

Helldorado / Aged in Bourbon Barrels / 10% of Final Blend

So Happens it’s Tuesday- The Bruery- 14.7%- Our infamous Black Tuesday® stout is named in honor of the great stock market crash of 1929. So Happens It’s Tuesday is similarly dark and delicious, but in a more affable format, reminding us that there is always a bit of good to be found within the bad. Things happen, life goes on. This beer can be enjoyed in all of those moments and seasons

2012 Smoking Wood Rye BA-14%- Brewed with beachwood and cherrywood smoked malt, and aged in rye whiskey barrels, Smoking Wood is a delicious demonstration of what wood has to offer when it comes to beer. This imperial smoked porter is brewed with a hefty amount of rye malt, contributing to a full body and light spiciness. Toasty oak, caramel and vanilla flavors balance the smokiness, contributing to an intense yet refined flavor profile.

Java Deluxe- Ritual Brewing- 12.2%- For this year’s Java Deluxe we partnered with Augie’s Coffee Roasters out of our hometown of Redlands. The Augie’s crew has visited the farm of Carlos Montero and his family in the beautiful mountains of Tarrazu, Costa Rica for the past three years. With each trip comes a renewed love for his farm and the delicious coffee it produces. With notes of cherry and brown sugar, this unique coffee is a perfect complement to the huge flavors of this rich, silky, and complex stout.

Pizza Port- Strong Ale- 13%- Blend of Barrel Aged Birddog Barleywine, Barrel Aged Matchmaker Imperial Stout with Dates, Barrel Aged Nightrider Imperial Stout, and fresh Nightrider

The Holidaze

We all know that the best thing about Thanksgiving is the leftovers and our kitchen is putting the perfect spin on your favorite Gobble Til’ You Wobble dinner!   We threw Chef Hiro’s famous stuffing into the waffle press and crisped it to perfection!  Then we mounded mashed potatoes and carved turkey piled nice and high on top.  We finished it off with a drizzle of pork gravy made from scratch and a side of our delicious tart strawberry jam.  A holiday classic with a tasty twist!  One bite and you’ll be giving thanks to our awesome kitchen staff!!!

The [ginger bread] House that Waffles Built

It all starts out with a golden Belgian gingerbread waffle, sweet housemade icing and your own side of decorations (candy)!  It’s our first DIY dessert and it’s perfect to get you into a festive holiday mood!!!  That’s right, you get a side of candy to decorate your dessert however you like!  And if you’re on the Naughty List (like the rest of us here at The Iron Press Anaheim!), we’ll accompany your dessert with a scoop of our creamy vanilla ice cream.

Won’t you be my neighbor???  We’re having a celebration of local craft beer with our self-distributed craft beer homies and we don’t want you to miss it!  It’s a tribute to our local faves and it’s all happening at The Iron Press Anaheim in the Packing House on November 29th, 2016 A.D. from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M.  We are filling our taps up with crafty goodness from Artifex, Bottle Logic, El Segundo Brewing, Good Beer Co., Karl Strauss Anaheim, Riip Brewing and Unsung Brewing!  It’s going to be a testament to just how awesome our local craft beer scene is!  Check out the tasty tap list for the event-



Charlie Foxtrot IPA- El Segundo Brewing


A bitter, moderately strong American IPA that uses its clean, supporting malt to showcase its hop character.  Smooth and balanced.


The 105- El Segundo Brewing

Double IPA, 7.1% ABV

El Segundo’s version of an Idaho 7 IPA.  Bursting with bitterness, and massive flavor and aroma characteristics.  This double is full of hoppy goodness!


Sangiroro Pepa- Good Beer Co.

Farmhouse, 4.5% ABV

Aged in oak barrels with apricots, peaches and nectarines. All fruit in this beer was grown in California. Pepa is tart, dry and almost as juicy as biting into a ripe nectarine.  


Painted Lady- Good Beer Co.

Blonde Ale, 6.2% ABV

A blond ale with our house blend of yeast strains. Clove, green apple, banana notes are predominant with a bone dry finish.  A crowd pleasing ale!


Naturia- Unsung

Double IPA, 6.4% ABV

Dark and toasty spiced pumpkin ale with notes of chocolate and muffin.  It’s like chocolate chip pumpkin bread in glass!


Vienna Pale Ale- Unsung

Pale Ale, 5.3% ABV

Using Vienna malt and Mandarina Bavaria hops this tasty beer has a smooth creamy finish.


Peppermint Patty- Bottle Logic

Porter, 8% ABV

This is a York Peppermint Patty in liquid form.  Chocolatey boldness with just a kiss of peppermint.  The finish is rich and smooth.


Strawberry Rhubarb Berlinear Equation- Bottle Logic

Berliner Weisse, 4% ABV

A tart wheat ale that finishes with delicious fruity flavors of strawberry and rhubarb. Unfiltered and hazy, this yummy beer hits you right in the tastebuds!


Dan-K Citra IPA- Riip Brewing

American IPA, 7% ABV

This is the beer that started it all.  The award winning Dan K IPA is DanK!  Hopped with tons of fruity, floral hops to create a truly unique, stanky, danky, hop bomb.


Simadillo- Riip Brewing

American IPA, 7% ABV

This Hop Daddy is bursting with Simcoe and Amarillo hoppy goodness.  Flavors of passion fruit, pine, earth, and citrus are at the forefront of this delicious and well balanced IPA!


Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Cup Port- Karl Strauss Anaheim

Porter, 8.9% ABV

Rich, complex and a little bit boozy!  A great spin on a Karl Strauss favorite- the Buffalo Trace Bourbon Barrel-Aged Brown Porter with cocoa nibs and peanuts is full of flavor!


Citra Happy- Artifex

American Pale Ale, 5.7% ABV

If you’re looking for an easy drinker, you found it.  Crisp, clean and golden in color with a nice bitter Citra kiss at the end.


Hoppy Colada- Artifex

Black IPA, 7.5% ABV

Hoppy Colada is a tribute to this time of year with dark roasty flavors and big tropical hints of coconut.  A delicious Black IPA with toasted coconut, a match made in heaven.

On top of that we'll of course be serving exclusive tap takeover worthy food and dessert specials! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! Seeing that it's Election Day, we will take $1 off each beer if you wear your "I voted" sticker!

Night Rider Stout- 9.5%

Chocolate, roasted strong aroma. Poured a black in color with an off-white head. Flavor is chewy-chocolatey and roasty with a thick body...a great stout.

Graveyards Pale Ale-  6.2%

Surfboards have a limited lifespan. Sometimes they die in a dark dingy garage and other times they go down in a blaze of glory in board crushing waves. In the fall of 2001, the Oceanside Sandbar got hit with a rare Southern Hemisphere swell. The O’side locals erected a surfboard graveyard with all the broken boards taken. Then in October came the day of the year, when surfers were getting right and left tubes at the same time all morning. More than a few board victims were added to the graveyard, as captured in this classic, iconic image by Steve Sherman. Let’s raise a can of this hoppy pale ale brewed with Mosaic and Australian hops to all the surfboards that gave their life in pursuit of perfect tube rides!

Chronic Amber- 4.95%

One of the Flagship selections from Pizza Port.

Shark Bite Red-  6%

Our Signature beer. Brewed to the same recipe in all locations. A very robust Red ale made with Centennial and Cascade hops which lend a spicy finish to the beer. We have brewed more Sharkbite Red ale than any other beer on our menu.

Harbor Master IPA-  7.5%

Clear golden pour with a white head. Nose is fairly fruity and citrus forward. A lot of grapefruit and a slight spiciness. Hints of pineapple as well. Nice citrusy flavor. Fairly bitter, but some sweet tropical fruit and orange. A hint of bready malt.

Grandview Golden Blonde-  4.8%

On tap the beer pours a golden color with a nice head. The aroma has herbs, fruit, and some flowers. Taste has some bitterness up front then lemon and some leaves. Nice crisp finish.
