Man, you party people sure know how to have a good time! Thanks to all of our beer homies for coming out in full force last night! And a special thanks to Karl Strauss for kicking OC Beer Week off with a bang for us!!

Well, we are on the OC Beer Week Party Train and we ain't getting off anytime soon! Next stop, our beer brethren Bottle Logic are coming on down to hang at our little craft beer and waffle bar for an OC Beer Week wrap party!! We are thinking a pint night is just what the doctor ordered for us to get over this Karl hangover! So, this Friday night, June 17th, 2016 from 5PM to 10PM at the Anaheim Packing House, we’ll be chuggin’ along on this beer adventure!

FUNDAMENTAL OBSERVATION (NO, your eyes are not deceiving you!!)
IMPERIAL VANILLA STOUT, 14.3% ABV

This stout was aged in four different types of bourbon barrels, and blended with Madagascar vanilla beans.  

GINGA GAIDEN
AMERICAN LAGER, 4.75% ABV
Third entry in Bottle Logic’s Mixologist Series! ‪‎Ginga Gaiden‬ is a brewed twist on the classic Moscow Mule Cocktail. It’s an American lager bursting with fresh and candied ginger and sharp lime citrus.

POG JUICE
PALE ALE, 6.5% ABV
A refreshingly hoppy wheat beer that is filled to the brim with pineapple, orange and guava juice. Aloha tastebuds!!

BERLINEAR EQUATION with PEACHES & APRICOTS
BERLINER WEISSE, 4.8%
Tart wheat ale finished with apricots and peaches. Fresh, fruity and a thirst quencher that will make you smile and pucker at the same time!

This Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 A.D., Uncle Karl is coming to town and he's bringing all barrel aged everythang! OC Beer Week is in full swing, and this is just the first of 2 events we're hosting this week. Tomorrow, from 5P.M. til close at the Anaheim Packing House, we’ll be pouring some insane Karl Strauss RARITIES! (And yes, that includes Double Chocolate Stout aged in Pappy Van Winkle barrels!) We are bringing the heat for this one and so is our amazing kitchen. Check out what they're whipping up for the event...

 

DINNER SPECIAL:
LET'S NOT SKIRT AROUND THE ISSUES... OR THE FRIES!

We are putting our Cali twist on steak and frites! Tender and perfectly grilled skirt steak sits a-top a heaping pile of DELICIOUS!! Housemade pico de gallo, shredded cheese and sour cream all on top of crispy shoestring fries! These flavors are simple, delicious and pair perfectly with Karl Strauss’ Dr. Harvey Rye IPA.
 

DESSERT SPECIAL:
DON'T GO BACON MY HEART

This desserts sounds a little cray cray, but we swear the flavor combo is gonna knock your socks off! It starts with a crispy bacon waffle and then it gets topped with our creamy vanilla ice cream, more bacon (because, that's always a good idea), a drizzle of marshmallow fluff, a heavy sprinkling of Nutella and a dusting of graham cracker crumbs! It's salty, chocolatey, sweet and will leave you asking for S’MORE!!

So, get ready party people! If you love big, boozy, and hard to find beers, then you definitely don't want to miss this! And, remember we will be giving out beautiful Karl pint glasses! Lately we’ve had some INSANE and hard to find craft beers on tap! We figure, we can’t stop now! So, we’ve partnered up with Karl Strauss to bring you an evening of rare specialties. They’ve pulled out the big guns for this one and dusted off some amazing beers that were hiding in the back of their cellar. They were waiting for a special occasion and we figured June 14th, 2016 from 5PM to 10PM at the Anaheim Packing House is as good of a time as any!
Check out the line up of these exceptional suds...

 

DR. HARVEY'S IPA
IPA, 7.9% ABV, 65 IBU
This delicious American IPA showcases hops front and center! A nice malty profile allows citrus and tropical fruit to shine through. Plus, it's brewed by our favorite Karl beer rep., Loic!! Shout out to that handsome bearded man!

WRECK ALLEY aged in GRAND MARNIER BARRELS
RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT, 9.5% ABV, 50 IBU
A big, intensely flavored dark ale that ends with a warming, bittersweet finish. The Grand Marnier barrels give off notes of chocolate and oak. The addition of orange peel is the perfect accompaniment to the rich flavor.

JUST A LIL’ BRETT
WILD ALE, 5% ABV, 8 IBU
Fermented with Brettanomyces and finished with a Lactobacillus for complex flavors of pineapple, toasted malt, earth, leather and a subtle sour finish.

WRECK ALLEY aged in BOURBON BARRELS
RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT, 9.5% ABV, 50 IBU
Brewed with darkly kilned malts, cocoa nibs, and Ethiopian coffee beans, then barrel aged for 12 months in Jack Daniel whiskey barrels. This gives flavors of dark chocolate, espresso and vanilla bean.

27TH ANNIVERSARY aged in BOURBON BARRELS
RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT, 9.5% ABV, 50 IBU
Aged in American oak bourbon barrels for 12 months, this stout has an abundance of cocoa flavors and roasty-warmth.

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE STOUT aged in PAPPY VAN WINKLE BARRELS
RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT, 9.5% ABV, 50 IBU
Aged in American oak PAPPY VAN WINKLE barrels for 12 months, this stout is big and boozy with hints of bourbon and toasted oak.  

DEUX AMIS CHERRY (Monkey Paw Collaboration)
WILD ALE, 8.3% ABV, 34 IBU
Aged for close to 3 years this expertly blended combination of two spontaneously fermented barrel-aged wild ales. The cherries were added in for a secondary fermentation that gives this complex beer a tart cherry finish.

BOURBON AGED TORTUGAS
BELGIAN QUAD, 11.1% ABV, 25 IBU

This Belgian-inspired Quadruple Ale has a delicate union of toffee, dark fruits and warming spices. This specialty version is aged in oak bourbon barrels.

2015 PUMPKIN SPICED AMBER (cask)
AMBER, 4.5 ABV, 15 IBU
The original Karl Amber Session beer cask-conditioned with pumpkin spice. Flavors of sweet caramel and lightly toasted malts are balanced by fall flavors of pumpkin, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
 

From the looks of this lineup, you better get your livers and your tastebuds ready! Even our kitchen is in on this big night, bringing you some serious flavor with specialty dinner and dessert just for the event!  Also, with the purchase of a Karl Strauss flight, you’ll get a rad Karl beer glass!! Plus, DJ LexAKhan will be providing the toe tapping jams all night long! This is an evening not to be missed!

We can't say enough good things about all you crazies who came out to party with us last night for our 2nd Anniversary Tap Takeover - Sunday Funday indeed! We hope you've enjoyed this extra day off to recover from all the awesome. I mean, those beers were OFF DA HOOK! And of course Dj Lex was killin it on the ones and twos.

This SUNDAY (Yeah, we said Sunday.... but don’t worry! The next day is a national holiday, so you probably have Monday off to recuperate), we are are turning 2 YEARS OLD at the Anaheim Packing House! It all goes down Sunday, May 29th, 2016 A.D. at 5:00PM! Now that we got the info out of the way...  With a big event comes huge beers, and with huge beers comes INSANE FOOD!!

DINNER SPECIAL:
FILET MIGN-WAFFLE

Ooh we fancy! Get your tastebuds ready for peppercorn seared filet tenderloin with caramelized onions and sweet peppers! Then we heavy handedly drizzle some housemade bleu cheese sauce on that for dipping, and sprinkle some green onions on top for good measure. All this deliciousness sits a-top a crispy bacon waffle!
 

DESSERT SPECIAL:
IT'S OUR PARTY & WE'LL WAFFLE IF WE WANT TO!
Who doesn’t love Tiramisu!? We’ve taken your Nona’s classic and waffle-ized it!! A tiered dessert of AWESOME - espresso infused waffles layered with sweet vanilla mascarpone cream, and an airy kiss of cocoa powder. This dessert is so tasty, you may start speaking Italian fluently... Bellissimo!!

So, dust off your party hat, throw it on and get on down to the Packing House! You might want to wear your dancing shoes too, ‘cause Dj Lex will be here bringing the booty shakin’ tunes!!

We've been bringing some of the best craft beer and gourmet waffles to the city of Anaheim for TWO years now!

That means we want to have an all out rager that is TWICE the fun! When scratching our heads on how to celebrate such a milestone, we came to the realization that there was only one option for us, and that is to do what we do best!.... Fill our draft system with the absolute BIGGEST and RAREST craft beers possible!! These are beers that you’re not going to see just anywhere. This little bar is about to bust out some suds that only a craft brew seeker would appreciate. So, mark your calendars for Sunday May 29th, 2016 A.D. from 5PM to 10PM, and check out the killer beer lineup that you are not gonna want to miss...
 

PEACH GEORGE, THE GOOD BEER CO.
WILD ALE, 4.1% ABV
A tart and fruity farmhouse ale aged in oak barrels with white peaches. Tart, refreshing and definitely peachy!

BERRY SINGLE, GOLDEN ROAD ANAHEIM
BELGIAN DUBBEL, 4.5% ABV
A specialty given to us directly from their Anaheim tasting room! A beautiful ruby color and choc’ full of flavor. The Belgian spicing marries perfectly with the pounds upon pounds of fresh raspberry used in this brew.

WILLY VANILLY, ALPINE
PALE WHEAT, 4.9% ABV
The base for this beer is Willy Wheat. They add vanilla to the tanks during aging. This easy drinker is rarely scene up here, north of San Diego. It’s refreshing and perfect for a hot day!

FILMISHMISH, THE BRUERY
WILD BLONDE, 5.8% ABV

A refreshing barrel aged sour blonde ale with apricots added. The beer's already fruity esters are enhanced by the hint of fresh apricot jam and wood shavings.

TARTARE ROUGE, BEAR REPUBLIC
WILD RED ALE, 6% ABV

Released from Foeder Number Two in Bear Republic’s spontaneous ale program. This is a sour red ale fermented using only airborne wild yeast and bacteria native to Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. Tart and refreshing!

TROPICAL PLATYPUS, ALMANAC
WILD BLONDE ALE, 6% ABV

Aged in wine barrels and oak foeders with an array of tropical fruits. With an addition of kiwi, mango, lime and passionfruit and Galaxy hops, this beer is a tropical explosion!

NELSON, ALPINE
IPA, 7% ABV

A golden Rye IPA hopped with Nelson Sauvin. The Nelson hop is generously used throughout the brewing and dry-hopping of this unique beer. European rye is added for a smooth, malty addition to flavor.

CALI-BELGIQUE aged in Reposado Tequila Barrels, STONE
BELGIAN IPA, 9.3% ABV
A light-colored ale with strong bitterness paired with the fruity and spicy esters derived from its Belgian yeast. It’s an IPA and full bodied Belgian all in the same sip. This special variation gives a nice spicy Tequila layer to an already tasty beer.

WINTER HARVEST BELGIAN TRIPLE Oak Aged with Wine Grapes, STONE
BELGIAN STRONG PALE ALE, 10.7% ABV

Brewed with Red Wine grapes and 4 strains of Brettanomyces yeast. Malty and vinous aroma with aromatic notes of black pepper and flowers from the Brettanomyces fermentation. Oak is present but subdued in the flavor, but the wine grape flavor is intense, contributing complex red fruit flavors such as cherry and raspberry, and marries in with the malty flavors of the beer.

VANILLA BEAN STOUT aged in Bourbon Barrels, AVERY
IMPERIAL STOUT, 10.8% ABV

A double dose of vanilla derived from both fresh Bourbon barrels and the trio of Tongan, Ugandan, and Mexican whole vanilla beans is complemented by essences of chocolate, caramel and molasses to round out this luxuriously silky stout.

LECHE BORRACHO, BOTTLE LOGIC
MILK STOUT, 11% ABV
Mexican mole milk stout aged in Tequila and Bourbon barrels. It's got an incredibly unique complexity, with layers of smoky cigar blend with oaky heat, while the underlying slow-burn of spicy peppers and sweet lactose. Complex and decadent!

2015 FAT HOG (Vintage), RITUAL
BARLEYWINE, 11.6% ABV

A dense, fruity bouquet, an intense flavor palate and a deep reddish-brown color. It's big malty flavors are superbly balanced by a wonderfully bittersweet hoppiness.

GROUND STATE, BOTTLE LOGIC
IMPERIAL STOUT, 12.5% ABV
Stout brewed with chocolate and cocoa nibs and aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla and coffee beans. This incredibly popular, but scarce brew will have you begging for more!

2015 HELLDORADO (Vintage), FIRESTONE
BLONDE BARLEYWINE, 13.2% ABV
Honey-infused Imperial Blonde Ale aged in Heaven Hill barrels. Boozy, sweet and delicious!

DARKSTAR NOVEMBER, BOTTLE LOGIC
IMPERIAL STOUT, 13.7% ABV
Snippets of sweet molasses, spicy rye, velvety vanilla and bourbon-soaked chocolate oak have are very upfront and enjoyable in this beast of an Imperial Stout. A highly sought after beer, we feel lucky to be able to offer it to our customers.

2015 XIX ANNIVERSARY ALE (Vintage), FIRESTONE
AMERICAN STRONG ALE, 13.8% ABV
They blended together 235 oak barrels and four different beers creating something truly complex and exceptional. This multi-dimensional beer is made up of Parabola (BBA Russian Imperial Stout), Stickee Monkee (BBA & WBA Quad), Bravo (BBA Imperial Brown) and Velvet Merkin (BBA Oatmeal Stout).

2015 BARREL ROLL HAMMERHEAD (Vintage), HANGAR 24
BARLEYWINE, 13.8% ABV
Big and complex, featuring two English caramel malts and four American hops. Hammerhead’s character is enhanced by dry hopping and then aging the deep amber liquid for six months in charred oak rye whiskey and bourbon barrels. Flavors of vanilla, toffee and rich caramel with every sip!

BOURBON COUNTY, GOOSE ISLAND
IMPERIAL STOUT, 14.2% ABV
This big stout is aged for 150 days in bourbon barrels. This beer is an intense mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. One sip has more flavor than your average case of beer.

WHITE MOCHA, THE BRUERY
WHEATWINE, 16.3% ABV
A complex bourbon barrel-aged wheatwine-style ale, known as White Oak Sap, with fresh coffee beans and cacao nibs added. Rich notes of coffee and chocolate are joined by warm flavors of coconut, honey and vanilla that rise and shine on the palate.

We also have a couple other tasty tricks up our sleeve! (Can you say, “WATERMELON KEG”!?) Plus we have some amazing dinner and dessert specials for the event as well! All and all it is going to be one over-the-top evening of great beer, great food and celebrating two years of great friendship! Oh and don’t worry!... We made sure to invite everyone’s favorite turntable specialist, DJ LexAKhan!  So, come on down and let’s get our terrible two’s on!

BIG THANKS to all of you generous and outstanding people who attended our 4th Anniversary last night! Our OG crew had a BLAST slinging beer for all of you. We know it was a little crazy, but it wouldn't have been a true Iron Press Birthday any other way. Shoutout to Dj Lexakhan for the perfect jams, and all of you who drank and danced the night away with us. To say that we're THANKFUL for the last four years, doesn't even begin to cover it. You are all truly the best beer lovers in town.

As per usual, we've got another doozy of an event planned for you all. Our sister spot at The Anaheim Packing District is going to be partying it up big time in a couple weeks. For our FOURTH Birthday, we went BIG. FOUR pieces of bacon on top of a provolone smothered burger patty, drenched in Belgian Quad cheese sauce, sandwiched between TWO Gooey Cheese Cheddar Waffles, stuffed with pepperjack. Now THAT'S a cheeseburger!

OVER THE WAINBOW BIRTHDAY WAMMY
Happy Birthday to US! We took a Confetti-Sprinkle filled waffle and sandwiched some classic vanilla ice cream between it. Topped it with our famous Cap 'n Crunch cereal, and of course some whip cream and a cherry for tradition's sake. An ideal 4 year old birthday treat!
